Location – Geography: ( Koraput – The wonder of Nature )

Vikram Dev Autonomous College , Jeypore is located in a mountaineous high terrain at an extreme southern corner of the state of Orissa. Situated in the District of Koraput, a region at a height of about 3,000 ft above sea level, full of high mountains, forests, vallies and numerous falls. An abode of raw nature, the region makes a charming panoramic scene throughout its length and breadth down the mountainous ghats and vallies.

Mostly inhabited by the Tribal people the area is highly under developed and back ward. The Govt. of India has declared the area as a scheduled plan area ( K B K ) The level of population, economy and education is much below that in any other part of the State
