The National Cadet Crops started functioning in this College from 1960. The name of N.C.C. of this college is "The1/1 Orissa N.C.C. independent Company Infantry". Any male Student of the College with a good physique is eligible for cadetship. Students desirous of being enrolled must apply to the Commander.The Company holds regular parades and the Cadets get training in Military Science.

ADVANTAGES OF N.C.C. TRAINING:

N.C.C.. develops character, Comradeship and leadership. Students with N.C.C. qualifications are always given preference over other students in many competitive examinations N.C.C. Cadets in 2nd, 3rd year of training are eligible to appear 'B' and 'C' certificate examinations provided they have attended at least 75% of parades by the end of the session. A Graduate with a 'C' certificate is selected by the Service Selection Board for permanent regular Commission in the army and gets a relaxation of three months in the duration of his training. Students having B/ and 'C' certificate are given preference over other students at the time of

.admission in a Medical College . Candidates for the Orissa Police Service are given preference, If they have passed .B' and 'C' certificate examinations.

The Company has got an N.C.C. Employment and Guidance Cell to advise the cadets of the College about employment prospects.
